Pros

Digi Doc has a dedicated internal team in California. Their customer support team is great and the company generally takes good care of their clients. The intraoral cameras they make produce the clearest image by far compared to any competitor.

Cons

This is a terrible company for a sales rep to work for. They pay commission only with a limited product line to sell. They sell you during the interview how you can make six figures and it does not take long to learn no one in sales is making that. The company has extremely high turnover in the territory manager position because you can’t make enough money to live. Average tenure is less than a year. The monthly car allowance doesn’t even come close to car expenses and gas. No mileage reimbursement and you end up losing money every month. The family ownership of this company likes to micro manage. They make each rep buy their own computer when hired on. Serious product quality issues on newer products introduced to marketplace.

Pros

You have the ability to form dealer partner relationships which is fun. Dental benefits are included. Tech support is helpful for the most part.

Cons

The base pay is too low to live on. The first 6 months you’re on base and then after that, you’re expected to go 100% commission. If you quit within the first two years, you have to pay them money back for training. They do not pay for your gas and you drive your own car and pay for your own insurance. There’s no supplemental insurance. After the 6 months, you also have to pay your phone bill. You are a W2 employee and therefore, cannot write anything off on your taxes either. You get a lot of complaints about the cameras not working. Management is not transparent or honest with the employees. They give you false hope and expectations about how much money you can make. They are not open about any changes going on within the company either. Training is also not thorough and could be a lot better. They are a family owned company which can be a conflict of interest when HR is the daughter of the owner.
