Absolutely one of the worst places I could work at aside from the pay - Truck Driver Diesel Direct Employee Review

Pros

The only pro to this job is the pay. But that isnt even all that tbh. They claim that you can get up to 55 hours a week but that is a lie. BEWARE if you do get over 55 hours they will find any reason for you to get written up. But getting paid 29 an hour to start was not bad.

Cons

Man where do I begin. Management is extremely selfish and they dont care. You literally had a conversation with them regarding some of the complications you are having in your personal life and they literally tell you that the company comes first. They force you to come to work regardless of if your not scheduled. On a frequent basis they threaten firing you if you dont do something as little as answering your telephone when they call. Management pretends to have your back regarding mistakes but in the long run they say that a write up is just out of their control. They claim that nothing is personal and that they dont have any favoritism but on the regular give perks to a driver that is a blood relative to the manager. Management fails to have a sense of humanity and will literally tell you even if your out on leave that you need to show up even after explaining life threatening emergencies to them. The representation for the company is terrible to say the least. If the job market was not where it currently is I would have been gone. And I know for a fact any other drivers would say the same.

Pros

Work independently, plenty of overtime if you want a decent check. Up to 54.9 hours max.

Cons

The pay sucks. Starts at $28-$30 max an hr. You definitely not going to make $75,000 unless you put in 54hrs a week. So the advertisement on Indeed is bull crap. So make sure you ask what hourly wage is before you start and do the math. They will pull this crap we will start you off at this rate and after 90 days we will give you an extra dollar or 2. That is because everyone usually quits before the 90 days seen at least 12 People come and go in the last 4 months. They screw with your time as its so illegal so if you don't write down your hours on your own, they will sneak and take couple hours here and there. Trucks are always breaking down Boss Don't care if there is something wrong with the truck, he will tell you everything is fine and have you drive it broken. So make sure you put foot down on bad trucks and don't drive them. As long as your getting in the gallons they push for they leave you alone.
