Pros

Decent lunch options in surrounding area "Summer Fridays" (can leave at 4 pm on Fridays)

Cons

In Industrial Psychology 101 Diamond Property Management would be a perfect case study. It is the most toxic, disorganized, and unprofessional company I’ve worked for. Turnover is extremely high. In 6 months 3 people quit and 4 people were hired. It became obvious early on no one would be held accountable for their bullying/ passive aggressive behavior because after experiencing it firsthand, I was told to just ignore it. Training was little to none (5 days). If you decide to work here, be sure to cover yourself and get everything in writing to avoid becoming the scapegoat for your supervisor's incompetency. I was yelled at by 3 different people after requesting training several times. My supervisor berated me for making mistakes and “making her look bad.” After being apologetic and earnestly disappointed in myself she continued this behavior. She would often omit pertinent information and when paperwork would fall through I would overhear her blame me. The workload is overwhelming - however I’m not sure if that’s because upper management is delegating all their tasks to their subordinates. Those who lag behind their workload will take their stress out on those lowest on the totem pole. Many employees use the “blame-others” strategy to absolve themselves of responsibility e.g. “If I wasn’t told, how would I know?” How is this a justification in the work place? This creates a communicative black hole where your competency will be tested. If you aren’t in an upper management position, your success will depend on how hard you want to work for a company that doesn’t pay a living wage (several people had second jobs) and does not value or respect you as an employee or person. If you go in for an interview please pay attention to your gut because, sadly I didn’t.

Diamond Properties Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are committed to creating a comfortable, transparent, and collaborative work environment for all our employees, so we’re sorry to hear about some of your experiences. We have over 600 employees and the vast majority have a very positive experience at Diamond, which is why we have exceptionally low turnover. In fact, most or our employees have been with us for 10 or even 20+ years. Upon learning that you had a very difficult experience as a receptionist we worked hard to make things better for you within another department hoping it would work. Unfortunately, it did not and despite our best efforts, performance declined and eventually we had to let you go. Again, we’re sorry that things did not work out, and we wish you only the best in your future endeavors.
