Poor, POOR leadership - Senior Recruiter Dexian Employee Review

Pros

You can make good money….

Cons

Leadership is terrible. They aren’t even leaders, they are managers who only care about themselves. They will throw anyone under the bus. Very high turnover, especially with the new brand of “Dexian,” but don’t be fooled. Signature Consultants run the show, which is why DISYS people are getting laid off left and right. 401k contributions are horrendous for a company this size and shows they value profits over people, regardless of what the new CEO says. I was warned heavily against working for this company before I started, but chose to go with it anyway, regrettably. The sales teams aren’t actually sales, they don’t bring in business, they just wait for reqs to hit the VMS system and lay claim to them. Great sales strategy. Yet the “account executives” are protected at all costs and let’s be honest, they are account managers, not executives. What a joke.

Great team culture, everyone wants to win

Cons

The industry itself can be incredibly stressful but I imagine its the same for competitors as well.

Pros

Quick opportunity to get promoted if you have the right mentorship and accounts. Honestly really nice employees (cross-functionally) and people are willing to help you. A good place to dip your toes in as a young hire, KPI's are fairly easily but some of the director's are a bit micro-managey.

Cons

In our office - we had 3 Managing Directors and 3 VP's in 3 years with two rounds of layoffs (enterprise wide.) The largest gap in the company is their leadership is so disconnected from the producers and what you truly need to do to succeed in sales. They run on a lot of enterprise accounts which makes it hard as a young sales person to connect with tenured sales people, who haven't truly sold or broken into accounts in some time. Additionally, there are lots of corporate politics and people in leadership that overshare other leaders dirty laundry with young sales folks, making it a bit of an uncomfortable place to be in. I think this place is a good starting zone for a career but it is not the place to be if you are a hustler and want to truly grow as a sales professional.
