Pros

I started as an Intern for the Fine Arts team over the summer and was hired full time four months later. From the start, my entire team was very helpful and took the time to explain the nuances of the Fine Art insurance industry to me. As I continue my training, questions are always encouraged. I feel valued as a team member regardless of if I am working on a small task or a large project. Additionally, the office environment in general is very welcoming.

Cons

I am still not licensed, but I will be soon.

Pros

I have been with Dewitt for 3 years. I love working here and I also get to work remote which is such a plus. Everyone is very nice and we have great benefits. I also get to travel to New York from time to time. We also have summer Fridays from June until the end of August which is a for sure perk. I work with a great team and I am very thankful for this job!

Cons

I really don't have any cons.

Pros

It's a busy office, but not a high-pressure environment. Overall, a supportive and friendly working environment with mostly good colleagues. Some perks like free tickets, some travel but very dependent what group you're working with. Most employees stay for a long time. There's a good life/work balance with a pretty understanding attitude about flex time, appointments, and not a really strong expectation of being available outside of the office unless there's something major.

Cons

Disorganization and poor communication from senior management more often than less. Not a lot of planning ahead, leading to emergencies. Definitely a pretty political environment and a lot of favoritism is shown. Compensation is low and there's not a lot of room for growth or advancement. Somewhat behind the times with things like working from home policies, technology, and marketing concepts.
