Pros

Full medical benefits to for employee and family

Cons

Compensation sucks for how much they expect and how perfect they want you to be. They lie. They say it’s not a call center environment and metrics don’t matter but it is and they do. They have started measuring all metrics and micromanage you until you’re insane and physically ill. They are extremely fake nice, smiling and giggling while writing you up for something ridiculous. They make the rules up as they go and they’ll find reasons to not give you a raise when it’s annual review time. They have specific meetings just to ask for input on how to improve the company for employee satisfaction but as soon as anyone has a suggestion, it’s met with 101 reasons why it won’t work or why they can’t- instead of caring and finding a way, I mean literally every suggestion is “awww yes I see where that would be nice but for xyz reasons it can’t be done. Next.” And then next person says something and it’s the same answer again. Also most of the managers are relatively young, inexperienced and don’t seem to know what they’re doing but they’re in the position because of who they know, not what they know. They also claim to promote from within. No. Not unless you are one of their friends. Very political. Just stay away if you want a job where you feel valued and not micromanaged and want managers that actually know what they’re doing instead of seeming like they’re playing career day in elementary school. And god forbid you need to use the restroom outside if your allotted time, you’ll be written up for it! Among anything else they can think of!

Devoted Health Response

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review and express your feelings about working as a Member Service Guide here at Devoted. We are pleased to hear you have experienced good things with our medical benefits offerings. We regret to hear that your overall experience, it seems, has been less than optimal. We value our Member Service Guides, and at the same time, we hold them to high standards as a group when it comes to metrics. You are crucial to holding up our mission of making sure our members are treated like family. We recognize these regulations and metrics do create some limitations within this role but have put together stress reduction programs to help Guides refuel that includes live and recorded classes and exercises. We’ve learned that 97% of class attendees agreed that the classes help them with their role and increased ease within their role. This program, along with our Lyra Benefit and the Calm App, are available to Member Service Guides at any time. We appreciate your feedback and sorry to hear this support did not work or speak to you. All employees, including Member Service Guides, are eligible to accrue up to 20 days (160 hours) of PTO per calendar year. This is prorated per employee based on the time of year that an individual starts with us. October through March, as mentioned above, is our busiest time of the year. So while we do have this generous PTO policy in place, it’s also our duty, as regulated by the federal government, to ensure we have the appropriate staff in place to manage call volume accurately and precisely. We do our best within the WFM and Member Service Guide organization to make sure there are buffers as we know life happens and want to do our best to accommodate the unplanned situations that arise. We’re sorry to hear this didn’t align for you at this time. Thank you again for taking the time to leave us feedback in a variety of areas. This information helps us to improve and hear all angles. We take strides to ensure our employees are heard, respected, and trusted. We recognize that all perspectives and experiences are different and we welcome the opportunity to continue the conversation. If you’d like to do so, please reach out to people@devoted.com. Thank you again, Devoted Health People Team

Pros

Competitive pay, benefits and great hours. Lots of commission potential

Cons

The favoritism within the sales department is insane. Some of their 'top sellers' are just bullies to the clients, and will hang up on plan changes (since we don't get paid for them outside of AEP)it seems like they let them get away with it because they get sales.
