Pros

Very clean environment. Nice people in production.

Cons

The company seems to be stuck in the '90s. No laptop allowed and in a case, you need to do a presentation, you will use an old school projector. Most of the employees are clueless when it comes to working digitally. Nonetheless, there are cameras all over the place. Every move is recorded. There is a real sense of perverse paranoia from higher management. It's common to receive passive-aggressive emails in the middle of the night from the management. The executives tend to make their decisions after the employees leave generally after 5 pm. If you are working in the creative team associated with the lab, you have absolutely no chance to improve anything. The executives are well aware of the problematic people and product issues but prefer to deny all of it. In general, you are surrounded by mediocrity and if you are talented you have a strong chance to be called in the middle of the day and be asked to go the worst way possible. Very low morale, very uneducated and mediocre mentality in general. I do not recommend this company to intelligent and talented people.

Pros

Cool perks-generous Christmas bonus, complimentary lunches on Thursdays, free hair products monthly, lots of creative freedom.   A respectful, engaging, and pleasant company— It is a pleasure to sign in to work each day and be surrounded by such a supportive and positive environment. Lots of opportunities to grow and develop my skills.   friendship—the leadership is approachable and supportive. I feel that I can always come to them with any questions or concerns that I may have.

Cons

Decision making can be slow which can hold up projects

Pros

Good pay, small corporate culture, family owned business, and good managers. I began freelancing part-time in the Corona, CA office until I moved out of state during Covid. I continued weekly freelance remotely until my creative director took a new job.

Cons

AI changed the game. We shifted from hiring models and doing photoshoots for the bold hair colors to using AI generation. It felt so fake like false advertising at first, but no AI is just our way of life. Nothing is likely to be real anymore.
