Pros

work life balance if you are VP, 5 weeks vaca with decent benefits ( though health insurance is quite expensive) generous 401k match but 5 year vesting ( 20% each year) people are down to earth but yet very smart and competitive Internal mobility - though pay stays same !

Cons

morale is low especially if you have legacy employees in the team who want to pretty much get fired or move in life but have no where to go sr. management and most directors live in there own world with tons of meetings amongt themselves. So VP and below pretty much have a decent click your button and get out kind of life for most part Pay is decent but higher base and low bonus strategy which bank follows causes lack of productivity as people don't care about setting themselves apart due to low year end payout systems are bad and IT budget and IT organization needs a big revamp from management No ones here in NY really cares about what organization changes keep getting announced in London and Frankfurt every other week
