Pros
Smart people who generally all care about doing a good job and will go the extra mile to get the job done. Great location (Transit, Lunches, Shopping) Free fruit :) Investing in becoming a better company with more active management. The end clients are Continuing Education departments. Helping schools get better at educating people is something that helps my soul. Not quite a not-for-profit, but much better than banks, retail, etc.)
Cons
It took a long time for management to decide to work on the company as opposed to working on work. In the past long hours were the norm and there was no plan to improve the situation. Now there are still long hours (it's a small company - you shouldn't expect otherwise), but there is an end in site and plan to become more efficient and a plan (being enacted) to get to better staffing levels. And employee recognition efforts are improving too. With such a small company the opportunities for growth are limited.
