Having worked in many creative firms over the years, this by far was the worst job I've ever had, even including the low level service industry jobs I had pre-college. To be fair, it mostly was due to a select few senior level staff, but generally speaking this is a cold, lifeless organization with stiff, stingy corporate culture, few amenities of any kind, and an 'every man for himself' attitude. Never have I worked with a less friendly, less collaborative team. Worst of all, the project leads have very specific ideas of how and what they want done, but create a culture where asking questions of any kind is unacceptable. This stifles the opportunity to be creative, and the constant guessing game of what the expectations might be is needlessly stressful and absolutely counterproductive to an efficient and productive work flow. Nothing could be more frustrating than dealing with hostile managers on great projects that will never reach their potential due to poor communication and management.
