Pros

Working at Designblendz has been a highly engaging and enjoyable experience for me. I have held four different positions here, each with a unique set of responsibilities, and each a welcome progression to my career path. There are a lot of positive things to say about this company from the culture to the day-to-day work we do, but the most crucial component for me is the commitment to embracing the unique strengths (and weaknesses) of each employee and making sure that they are in the role best suited for them, even if that sometimes means redefining the roles themselves.

Cons

While fast-growing, this is still a small/medium-sized company that relies on each member of the team executing their role to the highest level possible. If you're looking for a small role at a big company where you can fly under the radar from 9-5, this isn't it.

Pros

The company has grown year over year and isn't planning on slowing down. Recently they ranked #579 out of #5000 on the Inc5000 list for 2020. Leadership continues to hire even though COVID-19 is impacting the world. They have a "nationwide" vision, for creating better-built environments. They have gotten really good at filtering employees in the organization that do not match up to the company core values. The current employees are some of the most competent in the latest systems in the industry and they set up an environment where other staff members can learn. The firm works on projects all throughout the city and in multiple states at varying scales. If you want to learn about single-family homes or large multi-family projects, the Architecture Team gets involved in very high profile projects. The clients that the firm works with are some of the best, and even lower-level staff are able to interact with clients, wherein other firms you may not have an opportunity for years. If you are hungry to work and eager to learn, this is the place for you.

Cons

The company is constantly updating and working through a "never settle" core value which keeps them always finding better ways to improve their projects and processes. If you are complacent in your work attitude, you will not like this place.
