Pros

I’ve worked at several companies before joining Design Ergonomics, and if you’re looking for an escape from the corporate grind, this is definitely a place to consider. We have the unique opportunity to work closely with our CEO, Dr. David Ahearn, who genuinely cares about the well-being of his team. He’s invested in both our personal and professional success, which is rare to find. Like any workplace, there are highs and lows, but the overall culture is one of family and support. Many of my coworkers have been here for 20+ years, which says a lot about the environment.

Cons

Although I see it as a positive, some may view the constant change as a challenge. One of our core values is continuous improvement, which means we’re always refining processes and sometimes shifting directions. This change is all in service of improving the experience for both our team and our clients, but it can feel fast-paced for those who are less comfortable with change.

Great benefits, family friendly and fun culture. You are not a number and are treated as a human being, your life outside working hours is respected.

Cons

Can be a very challenging place to work, if that’s a con for you…

Pros

Occasional free pizza lunches. $5 gas station or coffee gift card if another employee gives you a shout out.

Cons

Disorganized senior leadership that are not at all on the same page and communicate mixed messages to staff. Low pay, not great benefits. Micromanaged. No training provided. No opportunities for growth or advancement.
