Pros

Large company so there's always work

Cons

Lowest pay in the area. Lack of organization on projects leading to lots of downtime followed by a rush to get things done that should have been being worked on the whole time. Safety violations. No one will force you to do anything unsafe but people were constantly climbing things they shouldn't have been.

Design Electric gives apprentices raises for each semester of the apprenticeship they successfully complete. Electrical apprentices go to class 1-2 nights per week for 2 semesters a year for 4 years. On the job training comprises 8000 hours of work-based learning in a real-world commercial electrical construction environment. Electricians, foremen, and superintendents provide new apprentices with mentorship and training not available in the textbook. We are helping new electrical learners become successful in the commercial electrical trade through the course of our daily electrical work tasks.
