Pros

Pros Gain experience, as they hire newer estheticians so they are able to train them in Dermani protocols Monthly skincare treatment or laser treatment

Cons

The management at the Roswell franchise of Dermani MedSpa was really negative, not supportive, and did not try to make their employees feel heard or appreciated, in anyway. You could voice concerns or bring up issues to the clinical director/manager who would get upset with you for trying to question their authority. If you go to the actual owners of the MedSpa they try to remain as uninvolved as possible, and will tell you to ask the other owner/give you the runaround. Even if you have years of experience, they will offer you a VERY underpaid hourly with the promise that tips will put you where you “need to be” hourly, but then they can’t be bothered to implement a cancellation policy, even though clients cancel regularly and you are left with no clients which = no tips. If you ask for time off, even WITH two weeks notice, the clinical director will try to guilt you about it or make it seem like this is some crazy request they are granting you. It’s very difficult to stay positive and feel appreciated in an environment where you are constantly being brushed off, given the runaround, or just blatantly ignored. Also, no benefits No medical No dental No vision/life insurance or 401K

Pros

Good entry level job for aesthetics. Close with Allergan so you can get training from them.

Cons

Everything is mainly on label. You will not advance as an injector here. Management is not someone in medicine so they are unable to empathize or understand the medical profession or patients. They are business mindset so it will be all about sales for them. Aesthetics is unfortunately lots of sales but I would leave to find a place that cares about sales, but also advocates for patients in terms of best results, safety, and wanting their provider to advance in their career. Husband and wife manage practice together so it’s awkward when they fight. Wife says she’s open to communication but it’s just one way to her, she actually does not communicate back.
