Pros

-Work from home flexibility (really the only reason I stayed with the firm for so long) -decent benefits + 401k

Cons

- There is absolutely no room for growth unless you have a law degree. Upper management undervalues analysts and is overall seemingly unappreciative of stellar employees who work hard and contribute ideas to improve the department. Analysts are on the bottom of the hierarchy within the department - which is made very obvious by lead management. Management also often plays favorites - and it shows. - Management makes promises that never come to fruition. People are often promised raises and promotions that sometimes never happen. Favorites often receive raises over those who work hard. - Things are disorganized and processes often don't make sense. When I left, the department was still working on rolling out a new software that had literally been pending for years. (I still don't think it has rolled out). Roll out of the new system will likely be a mess since those who were in charge of managing it's development did a poor job of integrating the product with how the daily workflow functions - Pays way below market. - Long hours with crazy weekend and after hours requirements, which only got worse the more understaffed the department got .

Pros

Everybody there cared about working together, no ambushing, The pay was great, hours and workload manageable, I loved this firm and would go back in a heartbeat! Shout out to IT and the Assistants - their cooperation is on the next level of the "united means success" the firm enjoys.

Cons

I didn't experience or hear about any in my 5 months there, and I was on-site 4-5 days a week. I only left because I needed to care for my Covid-stricken only child.
