Pros

Newly built offices Good benefits Access to lots of data Ability to travel (pending position) Small taste of Delta Air Lines culture Annual bonus based on company & individual performance

Cons

There was an expectation or need for some employees to work 10+ hours per week (some employees barely worked 8 hour days) The different business groups were unorganized Multiple business systems and on-going IT enhancements that never seemed to 100% work the way they were supposed to The ‘pitch’ given to me in my interview was not what the company ended up being No matter what you are told , you are NOT a Delta employee and those actual Delta employees remind you of that often Very little room for internal growth - throughout my almost 3 years with the company, I received many awards/recognitions at company events but when u asked what my career path was, I was told “it’s not in the plan” The culture is one that allows the mid-level managers rely on the lower-level employees to do all of the difficult work but do not consult them whenever it comes to process improvement or system enhancements The HR manager is shared between multiple subsidiaries Preferential treatment is not uncommon The rules do not apply to everyone

Pros

Great co-workers and nice work atmosphere.

Cons

Since you are working for a subsidiary you don’t have all of the luxuries you would working directly for the airline.

Pros

startup mentality means the group is fast-paced and driven to do whatever it takes to meet objectives recently built offices are nice employees are given a chance to rise to high expectations & are recognized publicly in monthly meetings when milestones are achieved DMS has a GREAT bonus structure if you're eligible

Cons

teams don't always cross-collaborate well, which is hard when there is a lot of collaboration required to achieve objectives complete lack of work-life balance demonstrated in a lot of the groups (some teams have less of a problem here, it varies by department) little room to move up as it's a small group being a Delta subsidiary, DMS isn't always free to do things in the way that would actually make sense, have to operate within Delta's policies/procedures which institutes complications into processes
