Pros

Fast paced environment. Friendly people. Flexible hours.

Cons

Very cheap. Del Taco Corporation gives bonuses to managers who have the fastest drive times. Which means you are basically a robot making food as fast as possible every second of every shift. Managers often have you do work while you are on your break, usually because there is hardly anyone working because manager schedules less workers so they get their "low labor bonus." General Manager also gets bonuses from Corporate if their labor is very low. (Which means the Hours get cut and you tend to only get about 7 or 7.5 hours per shift instead of full 8) Food is often uncooked because "cooking the food all the way through takes too long which increases drive times." Store is often too cheap to provide sufficient cleaning materials because it costs money to buy degreaser or dishwashing soap. Also manager gets bonuses if they do not have anyone working overtime. Often the managers will require workers to work off the clock. Bottom line : if you enjoy being a slave, working in a dirty environment and getting nowhere in life, then working at a Del Taco Restaurant is the job for you.

Pros

The assistant managers and kitchen staff were very supportive and approachable. They were willing to help guide me when I had questions, and their teamwork made it easier to learn the role and stay productive during busy shifts

Cons

Store Management consistency could be improved. Scheduling and time-off policies were not always applied consistently, Which sometimes created confusion. As a new hire, there were occasions where I had to manage responsibilities independently with limited guidance, which made the onboarding process more challenging.
