Worked as contract specialist for several years at Scott Air Force Base - Contract Specialist Defense Information Systems Agency Employee Review

It is definitely a woman's world there. About 60-70% of the workforce is women. The emphasis is on hiring and promoting students from the colleges in the St. Louis area....mostly female. Being a Veteran means absolutely nothing! Nepotism is big here as well. A lot of the employees live in the local area and specifically Clinton County Illinois. There is a BIG Clinton County Good Ol' Boy/Good Ol Girl network there. Bottom line...if you aren't one of the students or a part of the Clinton county gang, you may be able to get in the door....but you won't move up.
