Pros

Some opportunity; good that company provides clean aprons daily;

Cons

Health insurance for full time very expensive to employee; paid time off is very bad 1 week per year (use it or lose it); no raises, starting pay similar to any grocery store, etc. A person cannot be self-supporting on a full time income at Deerfields.

Pros

Friendly co-workers and yummy treats, but that's about it.

Cons

Creepy customers (old men asking me for my number, asking me personal questions, my schedule, etc., and the manager did nothing about it), passive-aggressive owners, bad management, the owner took away the tip jar because it looked "tacky", unsanitary (they don't train you how to clean the espresso machine, etc. Also. I saw a baker drop an unfrosted cake on the floor, and put it back onto the pan, a bug found inside one of their bread.) low pay, and overworked (wanted me to stay until 9 pm multiple times to box cakes when I was scheduled for 5 pm). Met an employee who told me they promoted them to be an assistant manager and that they only got the title and responsibilities of an assistant manager, but not the pay.
