Pros

I've never had so much fun at work! The science is exhilarating, dynamic, and cutting-edge. Team members are exceptionally talented and the leadership and inclusive culture they create is the best I've encountered in my career. The work is fast-paced and everyone works hard but a healthy work-life balance is respected and genuinely encouraged by management. The new office space is gorgeous and highly functional with ample food and coffee supplied. You really get a sense that management cares about the well-being of their employees (an order of chicken soup will show up at your doorstep if you're sick!). I can't say enough good things.

Cons

There are no cons that I have encountered so far.

Pros

Motivated team of incredibly smart and friendly individuals. The problems are very challenging and there is buy-in from all levels to do thoughtful research. The internal tools are very powerful and make it easy to iterate quickly as a researcher. All research is designed to be deployed in the core tech stack and each person has the agency to make an impact across the whole company. You'll learn a lot from the people working here and have a lot of fun applying your brain power to aid in the fight against diseases.

Cons

There aren't any real negatives about the company, but there are some cautions depending on what sort of environment you are looking for. It's not a 9-5 job in the science team. There is a lot of flexibility in when and how you get the work done, but you may struggle if you are looking for a job that you can cruise through to the weekend. The learning curve can be steep if you're not in the drug-discovery space. We have lots of tutorials and an onboarding program to help with this, but if you aren't comfortable coming into a new environment without already knowing everything, then this may not be the place for you. While we use standard project management tools, you'll do well if you're self-motivated and can maintain focus while working on fast (for research) timelines.
