Pros

There were some amazing people at Deep Sync. Many of them were let go over the past year or so. Teams did their best despite unclear direction.

Cons

No Career Growth Potential: Don’t expect to spend more than a few years here. Tenured employees are not respected. Raises and internal promotions are hard to come by. Quiet layoffs happened in small waves, contributing to low morale. Toxic Environment: The company’s “values” are not followed. Leadership can be quick to disregard the opinions of team members regardless of expertise. Those who raise concerns (especially women) are often dismissed. Poor Leadership: Leadership makes high-level decisions in a vacuum, then expects departments to execute with little notice, context, or resources. Priorities shift constantly without warning and without proper team training. Product Issues: There’s a growing gap between brand promises and operational reality. New priorities are rolled out before foundational issues are addressed.

Pros

- Leadership that leads with humility, prioritizes people, and genuinely supports an agile fail-fast, learn-forward culture. - Exceptionally talented colleagues who are collaborative, supportive, and a pleasure to work with. - Real opportunities to grow, evolve, and carve out your own path if you’re willing to take ownership and lean into new challenges. - Flexibility that respects work-life balance and acknowledges people as whole humans, not just roles.

Cons

- At times, collaboration can be impacted by differing levels of openness to change and growth.
