Pros

Nice equipment with a large facility

Cons

Dishonest reputation among machinists in Portland area. They advertise as Entry Level Machinist and put you in deburring sheet metal with a pneumatic tool that uses Scotch Brite. They rotate you into assembly and then into painting, hardware insertion, etc. No machining involved. That's why they moved from direct postings to going through temporary agencies.

Pros

The company has about 200 employees acrow 24/7 shifts. About 50 office positions and the rest are machinists, welders, etc. The company is great if you like your autonomy and you don't need constant supervision. If you are proactive and resourceful and keep on top of your workload, you will do great. That being said, I noticed there tends to be somewhat high staff turnaround in some departments, but from my observation, it seems to be mainly people who need constant supervision and hand holding and don't seem to ever break out on their own. The company seems very LGBT friendly, specially in IT, but I know of a number of people in other departments and have not encountered bigotry or issues like that.

Cons

The company has a very niche customer base, and that can cause sudden staffing increases or decreases.
