Pros
Great work environment, love it
Cons
Nothing bad to say about it
Pros
I have worked at Davis for two years now, and like many of you, I read the rather damning review left by previous employees. I was concerned, but through the interview process, they were transparent that the culture experienced a significant shift over the last few years. The environment, the culture, the creativity is what makes me so happy to come into work every day. I get to work with some really talented people that I enjoy being around not only professionally but personally. They are understanding with schedule needs and the benefits are great. Over the past two years, I have noticed exactly what they meant by a culture shift. Davis is run by a woman who is willing to do anything for our clients that needs to be done. She doesn't ever act like she is too good to do the simplest of tasks which trickles down to the rest of the company. The employees have a variety of backgrounds and talents and they all genuinely get along. There has been a huge emphasis on department growth and meetings to understand how to become a better place to work and provide better service to our clients, and that clearly has resulted in a better work environment. So, if it means anything to you, I read all the same reviews of disgruntled past employees, but from my experience, none of that holds any truth. I look forward to continuing to grow at Davis
Cons
Like any successful business that continues to grow - you have to work hard. I would say the only "con" would apply to someone who does not have a good work ethic. If you are someone who may exaggerate your ability to do your job or maybe someone who doesn't like being part of a fast-paced environment, then maybe this would be a turn-off for you. However, if you are professionally motivated and eager to be proud to tell people what you do fo for a living this is the place for you.
Pros
The office is a block from the beach
Cons
I’ve never worked at a more toxic and negative environment in my life. The only positive reviews on here are probably a few current employees that got told to write them because their turnover rate is that high. There is zero leadership or structure, just a micromanaging CEO that knows your every single move. Working long hours and through holiday weekends is expected because the CEO does. Zero onboarding or training, but if you don’t do something to their standard or have questions you’re made to feel stupid. And because there is no structure, you won’t even know who to talk to with said questions. HR is non-existent, it’s just the CFO who took it on. Management could care less about you as an individual outside of the work being done and everyone internally is genuinely mean to eachother. Multiple colleagues have admitted when they started that they went home and cried for months. These reviews are not ‘disgruntled old employees’ …they are all absolutely true experiences and you need to listen to them. And to anyone feeling stuck there, know you don’t have to live like this!
