Pros

Exciting Idea in theory, There are some great people working there

I was severely limited in who I could sell to: the only states we could work with were NY & Texas, & only select zip codes in those states. There were maybe 200 companies in NYC who even fit our ICP, & most of those deals would not work out if even 1/20 of their locations was outside of our support zone.l I left a thriving company where I was top performer for this role without understanding this market, or just how immature the product was. For context; we were giving it away for free & people still didn't want it. I was fired after 4 months, there was no pip, not even a warning or performance review. I wasn't the only one this happened to.

Pros

You get to work on hugely impactful problems of decarbonization and affordability in energy. The team is driven, collaborative, and sharp. There is lots of flexibility in how the team works and very little micro-management. There is a clear product-market fit and pathway to success for the business.

Cons

Typical startup growing pains - decent amount of turnover and lack of institutional support that a larger company would have.
