Pros

The pay was great and the benefits used to be good.

Cons

Horrible toxic work culture. Very cult like with their values and thinking they are above everyone else. HR needs to be replaced (I believe they may have done this - hopefully!) as they are gossipy and NOT supportive of their employees. Had no HR experience and should never have been in that role in the first place. The work life balance was also non existent; I know several team members who would cry at least once per week due to the stress, over working nature and toxic management.

Pros

I've been with Datavant for nearly seven years, and I'm grateful and thankful for the opportunities I've had to grow both professionally and personally. Throughout my time here, I've been able to take on new challenges, expand my skills, and work alongside talented and supportive colleagues who are committed to making a difference. The company is mission-driven, and it's rewarding to be part of work that helps improve healthcare data connectivity. I've had many opportunities to learn, contribute, and advance my career, which is a big reason I've chosen to stay with the company for so long. I'm thankful for the experiences, relationships, and growth I've gained over the years and look forward to continuing the journey.

Cons

No major cons to highlight. Like any growing company, there are always opportunities to improve and evolve.

Pros

Great team members and supportive, responsive, genuine team leads.

Cons

Low pay, especially considering stress and workload. No raises in 4 years. Constant write-ups for missing unattainable goals. Changed teams and managers involuntarily about 4 times during my career. Was hired as a lead, but they "reorganized" within a month, and I lost my title and privileges. As soon as I was getting the hang of the work, boom, they switch me to a new team with different work forcing me to relearn, and they wonder why I couldn't meet the goal. Terrible micromanagement, as in "what did you work on", "what are you doing" "why are you doing that" every single day. Only way to meet the goal number is to work 1-2 hours over your shift time off the clock. Health insurance is expensive and doesn't cover anything. Dental insurance won't even fully cover 2 cleanings in a year. Ever seen the show Severance? My girlfriend and I actually talked about how eerily similar the work experience is for this company.
