      Product and people. Dataminr's category-defining AI platform delivers relevant, often life-saving alerts to our clients in real time leveraging otherwise inscrutable public information. Dataminr's employees make it all happen, from incredible engineers and data scientists to the customer facing go-to-market team. Dataminr's clients deeply appreciate the value of our product and our people, helping us forge strong relationships that help grow the business while making it fun to work at here.

      Cons

      Growing pains as Dataminr matures through prolonged private growth stage toward successful exit. These growing pains are not unique to Dataminr, though a few teammates have jumped to "greener grass" only to find the grass the same color. In fact, Dataminr employees who embrace our culture driver of "find a better way" are encouraged to do just that regarding our business processes. Lots of opportunity here to be part of something big.

      Interesting product we have access to use.

      Cons

      The biggest challenge has been the lack of consistency in strategy and leadership turnover, which makes it difficult for teams to build momentum and execute. Constant shifts in priorities create confusion and are frustrating. No transparency. The company is struggling to keep pace with competitors in terms of product innovation. Many teams feel they are spending too much time reacting to changes rather than building forward momentum. Too many time wasting meetings where everyone is camera off.
