I have been in sales for over 20 years and as I approach my two anniversary with Dataminr, I can honestly say this has been the most meaningful and impactful sales job I have ever had.
Why? Our platform has a 10+ year history of AI/LLMs enabling it to provide the fastest real-time threat intelligence that not only saves lives, but also protects a company’s assets and business continuity. The conversations I have with my clients on the value this has provided them is incredibly rewarding as a seller seeing the genuine impact I am having with my clients that they wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else.
There is a lot of change going on within the industry and our management looks to not only change with the industry but to remain the industry disruptor and to pave the path for best in class services.
Leadership is very open to learning from clients and what sellers are hearing from the, They want to ensure we are molding our product roadmap to meet the needs of those that use us.
Cons
As I mentioned, there is a lot of change going on in the industry right now and so you have to be able to adapt and change with it, without losing a sense of focus or purpose.

The biggest challenge has been the lack of consistency in strategy and leadership turnover, which makes it difficult for teams to build momentum and execute. Constant shifts in priorities create confusion and are frustrating. No transparency.
The company is struggling to keep pace with competitors in terms of product innovation. Many teams feel they are spending too much time reacting to changes rather than building forward momentum. Too many time wasting meetings where everyone is camera off.
