Pros

Hard to think of any if I'm being honest. I would have said colleagues, but in hindsight they also are very callous.

Cons

Company's isn't hiring or promoting like they used to anymore. This stagnant growth is causing many to lash out against their surroundings. Racist and misogynistic treatment by managers, culture of bullying and putting others down to make yourself feel better, ever increasing workload with no end in sight, allergy to transparency or accountability, and rampant nepotism. In short, people see no opportunity for growth and they start taking it out on others. Likewise the leaders are delusional, thinking they are Palantir or the military when they have never operated at that level or scale. The result is a CEO and COO who do not feel the need to address staff, speaking only on one-way calls at All Hands meetings to an employee base that could fit in a Zoom call. The best time to have joined Dataminr was 5-7 years ago when they had money and embraced new ideas. Today, the organization feels stagnant and bankrupt.

Pros

Interesting product we have access to use.

Cons

The biggest challenge has been the lack of consistency in strategy and leadership turnover, which makes it difficult for teams to build momentum and execute. Constant shifts in priorities create confusion and are frustrating. No transparency. The company is struggling to keep pace with competitors in terms of product innovation. Many teams feel they are spending too much time reacting to changes rather than building forward momentum. Too many time wasting meetings where everyone is camera off.
