Pros
Co-workers feel like family. Occasional travel. No raises means you don’t have to worry about acing a performance review because it doesn’t matter either way.
Cons
1. Low pay and no raises. People told me they hadn’t received raises in years, despite the company having a record year in 2017. I received a great score on my review and still no raise. If they don’t give raises after a great year, what are the chances of ever getting a raise? 2. The CEO micromanages from Italy. It’s insane and counter-productive. 3. Very restrictive on spending in the states, yet it’s okay to overspend on ridiculously lavish gatherings in Italy. 4. Raises (again). They don’t exist unless you have an outside job offer. Then they’ll offer you more money in order to keep you on, which happened in my case. I didn’t take the offer because I knew it would be the same thing the next time I deserved a raise.
