Dataiku has smart, talented colleagues who bring a high level of expertise, and the company offers decent benefits and fair expectations for work-life balance.

Cons

Working at Dataiku often feels disorganized and challenging due to a lack of clear direction and minimal support from leadership. Many leaders seem disconnected from the day-to-day realities of the business, resulting in inconsistent management practices that impact team cohesion and productivity. Unfortunately, toxic and unscrupulous HR leadership only adds to what many employees experience as a deeply frustrating and unsupportive work environment. While Dataiku promotes its culture as a core strength, focusing on camaraderie and innovation, this has diminished over time. Many of the individuals who once helped shape that positive culture have now either left on their own or been pushed out, leaving behind a company that no longer feels caring, cohesive, or employee-centric. One employee captured this sentiment well, noting that Dataiku’s environment can "shatter your mental health"—a reality many are facing now. Career progression can also feel limited, making it challenging to understand what success in your role actually looks like, which has led to a lack of motivation and engagement for many.

Thank you for your honest feedback. Firstly, we appreciate you acknowledging your talented colleagues as well as the good benefits and work-life balance we offer. On the other hand, it's disappointing to read that you find your work environment to be dysfunctional and unsupportive, particularly your concern regarding the mental health of yourself and/or others. We assure you we take employee wellbeing very seriously. We offer avenues outside of the organisation via our MokaCare partnership to seek support if you feel it's needed. When it comes to the changes in culture you've highlighted, company culture is indeed an ever-changing element, and the culture at Dataiku will continue to be influenced by many things. For those with longer tenure, the changes we experience as the company grows may understandably feel more significant. It is, however, a part of the journey of a company as it matures. If you feel there is more we can be doing to accompany Dataikers in this respect, please don't hesitate to share your ideas - we welcome this feedback! We're also sorry to hear that you don't feel our leaders are close enough to the day to day business. We expect all leaders to develop their teams to feel empowered to make the greatest impact, but also to provide support as and when needed. We also know that managing people is not always easy, and so we encourage open and honest feedback between all Dataikers and their People Business Partners or, if they aren't comfortable doing so, via our anonymous employee survey or confidential reporting platform. Cons

major culture shift and pressure on employees. The ship is going down and nobody can even admit its happening. I take daily calls for people that want to leave, but none of us can afford to leave and lose our equity.
