Pros

Pay was above industry average

Cons

Anyone seeking a rewarding and long career should avoid this business. What you will find here is a company marked by poor communication, particularly from leadership, contributing to a toxic and stressful work environment. Operational inefficiencies and outdated technology further hamper productivity. The culture of blame, lack of trust, and disregard for employee well-being, including expectations to work during illness and off-hours to deal with regular outages and incidents, led to high staff turnover. The lack of professional conduct from executives and an unbalanced focus on short-term gains over product quality made the experience unrewarding and challenging, causing many skilled employees to leave.

Pros

I recently left after a long stint, with my first job being here. Throughout the other very low reviews, let me offer a different perspective. As an early career software engineer, my growth in knowledge and hands on experience was profound. My professional growth in experience, ability and competence purely from just diving into everything as much as I could cannot be understated. As I grew in ability and responsibility, so did the compensation - you will be rewarded for making an impact. Therefore, find below some dot points: - Very high compensation - Opportunity to learn deep financial payments and banking in both business and tech knowledge - Opportunity to make an noticeable impact and grow

Cons

Start ups/scale ups always come with risk, so I am sympathetic to the Cofounders and senior leadership who have to prioritise the companies financial health. That said, there are cons: - Tight deadlines - High workload and stress - Maintenance and BAU difficult to account for in planning

Pros

Delivering projects were fun, work mates maybe one of the best parts.

Cons

Toxic top level culture. New CIO or CEO basically runs the place like a tyrant. Wont take advice from engineering staff and belittles you when you make a suggestion. For a small company there are plenty of politics and you will need to navigate them almost at all times. After mass firings and people leaving and let go naturally there is a sense of fear and distrust leading more talented people to go. Project managers for the most part do not know what they are doing and the stress will need to be handled by engineers.
