Pros

Some colleagues are great. L&D budget is nice.

Cons

Executive/Senior leadership is atrocious. Poor leadership skills, micro-managers who deflect blame and accountability whenever anything goes wrong. Individuals are leapfrogged into 'VP' style roles which don't resemble any form of real VP position at a normal functioning company. Hiring is slow and painful. Multiple stages and steps which offer a poor applicant experience. Founders are insistent they retain the final say, which wastes significant amounts of time. Interviews are not well prepared for. Executives often don't know what they are testing for and do little to explain their decision making. No trust is given to managers to make decisions that are right for their team. Leadership will often say the right things (what you want to hear) but fail to act on feedback or make change. When changes are made, they are poorly communicated and executed badly. Products are squeezed for every cent and irrational knee jerk decisions are made about products without internal communication. The company relies on shady promotions to boost revenue, a strategy they continue to pump out on a seemingly never ending basis, to the annoyance of both staff and customers alike.
