With changes comes growing pains and a learning curve.

The money I made here was amazing. It was the most money I made as a mechanic at the time and I was super excited about being able to learn and work with new people, and prior military with me being prior military.

I knew right away that I was one of two black mechanics that had held this position. I knew right away that I was looked at like I didn’t know what I was doing with this position. I wasn’t respected from the day I got there until the day I left. I made a mistake that was a $10 mistake and was fired. I saw someone blow up a $35,000 machine and not even get a write up.
