Pros
I've worked for Darkvision for 4 years developing the HADES ultrasonic imaging line and it's been a blast. Things I like:
Developing a new technology means projects are diverse and interesting, allowing for development and application of a wide range of skills.
Company culture is collaborative and friendly.
The people here are great to work with and are just great in general.
Pay, vacation, and benefits are all extremely competitive.
I feel like I'm valued and appreciated, not just another cog in the machine.
Cons
Limited parking spaces fill up fast in the morning - if you miss the rush it's street parking for you.
Occasional long days putting out fires (mostly metaphorical)
Occasionally need to work odd hours if you're supporting the field team
