Good place to work - Project Manager Dallas Area Rapid Transit Employee Review

Pros

This is a good place to work. Although work/life balance is not the greatest, "volunteering" to support major events is mandatory for Administrative Staff, DART is a family centric environment. Each department operates like an extended family, along with the dysfunction as well.

Cons

Extremely slow advancement. Management positions are typically hired externally, leaving little room for advancement from within. You are typically stuck in the position you hired into.

Pros

Good leadership and central location in Dallas. Managers are willing to put effort into their workers.

Cons

There isn't necessarily much to on the day to day.

Pros

-great coworkers -decent pay that covers the basics and a little bit more -old school cubicles (privacy) -attentive employee engagement team -providing a service -PTO -HR seems fine -benefits (though I pay copay for dental) -Volunteer work

Cons

-management level resists changes that will make the department more efficient. -Forced PTO for doctor's visit. -Employee who injury themselves and have the ability to complete their job from home, are denied still. Their work is waiting for them upon return with minimal, if any movement, regardless of project status.
