Pros
+ international environment + brand known in industry + job isn't boring + overall good colleagues within department
Cons
- working for European Department is a cul de sac, hard to get out, especially if you are good your desire to make a change in your career will be blocked - no leadership - frustrating relationship with other departments - you generate income for organisation but you are of lesser importance to any other depeartments - each department works on its own account, this makes them less prone to cooperation, but more to maximsing profits, in result you generate income - they spend income you generate (you are on loss, they are on profit - this doesn't reflect effort and importance of each department to transport process from the beginning to the very end) - no control over subcontractors and equipment, making everyday work a pain (if they let you down it's your problem, not theirs)
