Pros

DSTNCT is unlike your usual corporate setting. The agency genuinely cares about employee wellbeing and has built a culture where professionalism and fun coexist. Colleagues are helpful and supportive, creating a collaborative environment where people are willing to go the extra mile for one another. Most (not all) of the client portfolio is government-related, but contrary to common perception, DSTNCT takes pride in pushing creative boundaries to make government content engaging and refreshing. Working here also provides exposure to a wide range of verticals — from events and PR to social media campaigns and large-scale video series. This makes it an excellent place for growth, especially for those eager to broaden their skillsets. Even interns are entrusted with meaningful work beyond the typical “intern tasks,” making the experience valuable for building a strong resume.

Cons

That said, the nature of agency life means the pace can be fast and tasks can be time-sensitive, depending on the projects or accounts. Adaptability and quick turnaround are often required, but for those who thrive in a dynamic environment, the experience is highly rewarding.

Pros

-Great and creative people to work with, a lot of inspiring people and interesting projects to work on. - Creatives are cool to work with.

Cons

- literally no HR and messy company structure. - a lot of bias and dishonesty within team. says they’ll provide guidance but the only guidance provided was micromanagement (that being said it really depends on which team you end up in). -a lot of office politics. - they’ll say they don’t encourage things like overtiming or responding to clients beyond office hours cos they “respect work life balance” but if you actually don’t go above and beyond and be a dog to the company and the client you’ll end up being reprimanded and they’ll keep bringing it up during reviews even after you’ve acknowledged, apologised and improved. - you won’t be seen as a human if you’re not good enough or well connected enough, they value superficiality. - The manager I worked under often came in late (like an hour late sometimes) which often pushes review times and/or meeting times but in the end it becomes your fault and not hers if things become disorganised.
