Pros

Learned a lot and there were some amazing designers.

Cons

Lots of fighting between people and doors slamming. I understand you are passionate but these arguments seem more about making your point and getting your way than showing passion. Lots of turn around in the last year from designers to account staff. You start there feeling like you are doing a great job and that you can see yourself there for a lifetime. You are confident and fall in love then it things turn around you start to feel worthless, stupid and you begin to dislike going to work. Working here reminds me of some bad relationships I have been in where at first everything is amazing then over time the true colors show. Lots of micromanaging for example they like to review emails and constantly asking what you are working on. They stress a positive work life balance compared to other agencies however that is not the truth. If you are not putting in 60 hours a week you are not a team player.

Pros

DRC was a great place to work! I looked forward to going to work every day in the beautiful office and being part of the DRC team. I enjoyed the variety of projects working with big clients and the creative studio feel. I love going to the store and seeing products in packaging that we have created! The management is very welcoming and accessible and they value the team’s input and recommendations. They truly care about their employees and have been implementing more ways to promote a strong office culture between departments, especially during Covid with some employees in-person and some working virtually. Monthly Happy Hours and Coffee with Conversations via in-person/virtual meetings are fun and are a great way to get employees interacting with each other to promote connection and strengthen the office culture. I enjoyed working on a diverse range of projects and that every day was different. There are a lot of opportunities to learn and apply your skills and flex your creativity. You are an asset to the team and your growth is beneficial to everyone. My generous boss had even offered to pay for continuing education courses if I was interested in learning new skills/techniques. My co-workers have been great and it has been an overall awesome work environment.

Cons

It is essential to be good at multi-tasking and prioritizing to meet deadlines. Is it a fast-paced environment and time-management is essential.
