Pros

DRC was a great place to work! I looked forward to going to work every day in the beautiful office and being part of the DRC team. I enjoyed the variety of projects working with big clients and the creative studio feel. I love going to the store and seeing products in packaging that we have created! The management is very welcoming and accessible and they value the team’s input and recommendations. They truly care about their employees and have been implementing more ways to promote a strong office culture between departments, especially during Covid with some employees in-person and some working virtually. Monthly Happy Hours and Coffee with Conversations via in-person/virtual meetings are fun and are a great way to get employees interacting with each other to promote connection and strengthen the office culture. I enjoyed working on a diverse range of projects and that every day was different. There are a lot of opportunities to learn and apply your skills and flex your creativity. You are an asset to the team and your growth is beneficial to everyone. My generous boss had even offered to pay for continuing education courses if I was interested in learning new skills/techniques. My co-workers have been great and it has been an overall awesome work environment.

Cons

It is essential to be good at multi-tasking and prioritizing to meet deadlines. Is it a fast-paced environment and time-management is essential.

Pros

There were some very nice people, and the office, while in a bizarre location, is comfortable and a creative environment.

Cons

I have never seen such a micro-managed process. There is so much time spent on managing all the little details that management misses the big picture. There were actually 17 steps to process one invoice. I was hired to do a job but was not allowed to do it because there were so many people resistant to change. The design staff and the account staff are totally separate teams and roles are so well defined that there is little collaboration. Account management is a complete revolving door. They horribly underpay, benefits were terrible (very expensive insurance, NO maternity benefits!) and there is no feedback on your performance. Technologically, all computers were ancient, software was not updated. They had unrealistic expectations on developing new business; it is hard to bring in large new accounts when they do not have the portfolio/experience to support the work. Lastly, I have never seen a company be so cheap...they are truly pennywise and pound-foolish. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
