Pros

Fantastic work/life balance Pay is decent (you can make almost full time income with just part time hours, KEY WORD IS ALMOST) No boss breathing down your neck as you're by yourself Hours are not overwhelming Have fun socializing with members of Costco Never have to stop by the company's office Great base pay You usually get placed in a Costco near you and consistently every week Would highly recommend this job for someone who needs sales experience and some money without breaking their back. 18yrs old-25yrs old or anyone near retirement like 60-65yrs old or more.

Cons

The commission isn't great as it's roughly $3 per sale. As a GOOD/GREAT seller you won't usually make more than $700/week after taxes. Even though this is pretty good for just working part time hours, 32 hrs or less basically. IF you do not hit the qualifier which is the minimum total number of units you must sell, you will not be paid for commission. So all that work for nothing (you still get base $23). The qualifier is often unrealistic and unfair. So even a great and strong seller like myself wouldn't be able to make that total goal sometimes. That's how unrealistic it was. THIS IS NOT A CAREER. It's a good job for some money on the side or new salespeople.

Pros

The only pro I saw with this job was being around Costco members. They try to hook people with the pay but days are bad. Some people get consistent hours some don't and when you check the sales sheet the people who get hours numbers aren't much different.

Cons

Training is horrible. Some woman Sadie gets on a call and runs through product information like Colostrum in less than 10 minutes. Talking fast and not allowing feedback or questions. If you don't meet their over exaggerated sales goal they punish you by deducting your hours. They don't warn you ahead of time about black out dates which are days that are not available to work at Costco. I was out of work for a month and had to scramble to pay bills. When I first started my check was wrong and I didn't get paid for a week passed payday and it happened twice. They start taking hours away the second week of your employment if you don't meet goals in the first week. No way to actually verify your sales for yourself. The management is cold and heartless. The product is not too bad but you really do not know intricately what you are selling. There are no numbers to call about certain things like paycheck issues. It's all back and forth email. Honestly it was pretty bad.
