Pros

Great Products , Professionally fitted and good customer service background

Cons

The company recently advertised and recruited new sales people . All roles are self employed. The big problem is that they dont have sales leads to support existing staff. they wont share telephone numebrs for customers which means you cant contact customers to confirm attendance at appointments, or advise of any issues re travel etc,or find out if theey are actuall going to be in or its a waste of time set up by tele canvass or foot canvass. The company says on the recruitment info that sales people get £30 per appointment for the sales calls attended in month 1 . However ,this is misleading, they will only pay £30 if you do a sales pitch so it doesnt allow for all the problems direct sales calls throw up with people not in etc. Its a scam and shouldnt be mentioned to entice recruits. The biggest issue is the constrauction of the sales call. they are led by an timeshare person that has simply converted all the bad things with time share manipulative sales into the company pitch with an average call lasting 4 hours. The whole sales concept is 20 years out of date and frankly manipulative. I would advise anyone thinking of joining to have a real think about it carefully. |You need 2 leads a day in this sort of job .The best they could offer me was 2 in 2 weeks both of which were a waste of time. Worryingly the management were un aware of the lead position and attended a weekly meeting without knowledge that this was the situation, It shows a complete out of touch situation and wrong for this sort of role.

Pros

I was working there as a kitchen designer for about 6 months. It was the worst experience of my life. However there was one pro: the training. Some tricks I picked up still using in Sales. Also some of my ex-colleueges were great and we still in contact.

Cons

They don't pay out commissions and as they do not pay a base salary, the commission is your only income; they treating you like animals and talk to you like one. The job is going to people's houses after a questionable "lead" and then after the icebreak - if you get through without the owner kicking you out - design, sell and close on spot within 4 hours. 5 out of 10 leads were cold, meaning the owner wasn't home or they simply didn't let you in. Out of the remaining 5 leads usually 1 sold - but then they found every problem with the design to deduct money from your commission which completely vanished sometimes on the end. You had to go out to 10 different addresses, driving up to 3 hours at times to maybe sell 1 kitchen. You paid for your fuel, kit, time and car. Everything. And then you had to be ready and go at anytime Monday -Sunday, you had no day off. Sad.

Pros

My fellow employees were excellent to work with, very supportive and friendly.

Cons

Management don’t have the courage to advise director on knee jerk decisions, too scared to stand up to him. If an employee left the company they tended to spread their job around existing employees rather than replace them to save money. Workload can be very demanding when busy, and failure to complete tasks within a certain time can be met with a mixture of aggression and disdain.
