Pros

Good compensation upon hire. Remote work.

Cons

A lot to unravel. Management is not very personable. Turnover is high among employees. Most employees/engineers within the team are working 50-60 hours per week with no overtime. No annual bonuses unless you are working those kind of hours. There is no "culture" at DLB, the whole vibe is very industrial with intense micromanagement. There is a group of managers that are buddy-buddy and have been with the company for years if not decades, so they are set in their ways. I witnessed first hand a new employees' suggestion being brushed off "Nah we're not doing that", despite the companies philosophy of "fearless innovation" and empowering employees. Micromanagement is a huge problem at DLB, managers are constantly breathing down your neck despite you being overloaded with work and finishing your work at appropriate deadlines. Their website is not very professional looking and they have a huge crush on A.I. currently. It's almost comical.
