Pros

Most of the attorneys you work with are top notch. Highly competitive salaries. Tons of administrative resources. Interesting and complex cases.

Cons

Individual offices have little to no control over the direction of the firm. Firm's strategy appears to be growth for growth's sake. Treats individual attorneys as fungible. Size of clients and size of cases mean few opportunities for substantive courtroom experience for junior attorneys.

Pros

- Excellent pay and benefits - Flexibility with the hybrid schedule (depending on your practice group) - Easy to build community with other assistants and paralegals

Cons

- Easy to fall into burnout due to understaffing in assistant/paralegal positions - Be prepared for an unexpectedly higher or lower workload at any point. - D.C. location is particularly strict about the hybrid expectations - A bit disorganized as a whole when it comes to onboarding and training for your particular practice group.
