Pros

DJ Connection is one of the only places I have worked where we are not just numbers, but real people with a life, with needs, and individual areas that require growth. I learned more about sales in one week of training than I did over a full year at my last sales job. I have been working here nearly 5 years and now feel like I would be an asset to any team where ever I go next.

Cons

The first month or two are pretty intensive. As part of the DJ Connection team you are required to learn how to DJ and balance your in-office job and your weekend DJ gigs. For the first month it's going to seem like you have no time for yourself, but after you get rolling, it's really not that bad.

Pros

Will teach you good customer service Is good for becoming a master of ceremony Good if you are a fan of music and listen to music as a hobby Good for people with Sales experience and are passionate

Cons

If you don't have reliable mode of transportation that can go from state to state, don't bother. Be prepared to be paid BADLY. They don't even pay for mileage and gas when traveling to different venues. The job is two fold: Being a full-time Telecom sales rep or a end of sale finalizer and timeline producer as full-time during the week. On the weekends you will be selected to DJ and/or MC an event (for which you are paid commission on top of a base stipend). Being in production is the bottom of the barrel as it was a revolving door position and looked down on. If you're in that department, you are expected to prove yourself to go to the sales floor.
