Pros

The client are great, one of the largest credit card company located near World Trade Center. Also you can learn some cutting-edge BI tools in a very short period which is beneficial for future development.

Cons

Except the client, everything else is bad. You don’t have any benefits during the first 3 months- so called probation period. After that period the benefits and time offs are little given the amounts of effort every employees puts in every day. As mentioned by many, the company is definitely a sweatshop. It cost your life, time, health and pretty much everything. The major issue comes from that the company has a branch in China which quite often asks help from U.S site. If you have the misfortune to be involved in that project, you will not be able to go home before 12 every day. In most cases, 1 o'clock and in extreme cases, 3 o'clock. It typically lasts for more than 1 or 2 months before you can swift to a normal schedule. The company is small and has no hierarchy at all. Everything is decided by 3 co-founders and you work closely with one or two of them. They save money at every detail and take advantage of new graduates especially non-citizens who desperately need sponsorship. Usually the work-life balance is bad in such kind of small consulting firms, but what makes things even worse is the company culture created by the management. Working here is stifling and depressed. Co-founders are abusive and rude, showing no respect to employees at all, sort of sadist who pick on underlings solely for exercising power. It is quite common to see managers/co-founders yell at employees and threaten their tenure. In fact, most current employees want to leave the company so as a result the turn-over rate is extremely high at DIA. So don’t work here unless you are really a workaholic and a masochism. Those give good comments to this company are either who have not been working on that China project or already brainwashed by the management.
