Pros

Pros: ✅ Global Brand – The only real benefit is adding "DHL" to your CV. ✅ Stable Employment – The company offers permanent contracts, but job satisfaction is questionable

Cons

Review: DHL IT Services Czech Republic – Project Manager Role Overall Experience: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Working as a Project Manager at DHL IT Services in Czech Republic is an extremely frustrating experience, especially for non-Czech speakers. While DHL is a global logistics giant, the IT services division in Prague is poorly managed, bureaucratic, and unwelcoming to foreigners. Cons: ❌ Hostile Work Culture for Non-Czech Speakers – If you don’t speak Czech, expect to be sidelined. Many colleagues communicate in Czech, hold private discussions in Czech-only chat groups, and even gossip about non-Czech speakers. This makes collaboration frustrating and alienating. ❌ Poor Project Execution – Projects are chaotic, with unclear goals and unrealistic deadlines. Processes are slow, and management is resistant to Agile methodologies, making effective project delivery nearly impossible. ❌ Toxic Management & Micromanagement – Leadership lacks vision and strategy, with managers constantly interfering in work without offering real support. Decision-making is slow, bureaucratic, and often counterproductive. ❌ Workload vs. Pay Disparity – The amount of work expected from project managers far exceeds the salary and benefits provided. You’re expected to manage multiple projects without sufficient resources, leading to burnout. ❌ Limited Career Growth – Promotions are politically driven, not based on performance or contribution. If you’re not part of the Czech-speaking inner circle, don’t expect to advance. Final Verdict: 🚩 DHL IT Services Czech Republic is NOT a recommended workplace for foreign Project Managers. The exclusionary culture, lack of leadership, and bureaucratic inefficiencies make it a toxic environment with minimal career growth opportunities. Would I recommend this role? Only if you’re desperate for a job and have no other options. Otherwise, avoid it.

Pros

Great compensation, benefits, and hours. Get to know many clients and businesses on route. Lots of exercise. Lots of alone time.

Cons

For some, the alone time can be very lonely. You are in a van or truck for many hours. Podcasts, radio, hands-free: get to love it. Sometimes logistics can be unpredictable. Delays, traffic, on-call pickups. You have to be very flexible and adaptive with fairly quick critical thinking skills to excel at this job.

Pros

Get entry level sales position. The company has great benefits..

Cons

You will be calling 80-100 times per day for months until you get promoted but it’s a fairly easy job. Can just be boring.
