Pros

HR has implemented a wonderful, clear-cut, and easy to follow skills matrix to help promote from within and show employees clear areas of improvement. The pay transparency is great and there is virtually no asking what you need to do to improve yourself and get promoted. Being cross-trained on the skills matrix also allows employees who are trained in multiple areas of the plant to receive a shift differential which completely changed the attitude of the hourly workers. No more, "that's not my job!" Instead, people feel a little more motivated to care about how other areas of the plant are doing. The in-plant management genuinely works *for* the hourly workers, for the most part.

Cons

Pros

The pay raises annually are decent and overall are very competitive on pay depending on what level you are placed. There is a skills matrix which sets goals where you can move up in pay twice a year not including annual raises with raises you have three increases a year u til you get to higher levels.

Cons

Scheduling jobs is always a hassle and complaint. You will set the the same job up multiple times a week sometimes and no amount of complaining or asking for larger orders will change it.

Pros

Great co-workers and relaxed working environment. It's a role where you can wear multiple hats, and be a part of other projects.

Cons

Pay isn't the best, not as competitive. Work can be sometimes slow, but that's just due to Automotive industry ups and downs.
