No culture of meritocracy. Everything works on how connected you are within the company. Most managers have no clue how to run a business in India. You have to engage in department politics if you have to survive and the politics is just horrible and career crushing. In the Market Solutions Dept, most hiring in done from the inner circle of the AGM; qualifications dont matter, skill doesn't matter. If he sees you are no threat, you can survive. Else you will be pushed out. If you give feedback or try to change things, you will be pushed out. If you start doing well, and create more work for others, you will be pushed out. If you question things, you will be pushed out.
