Job Role & Responsibilities: Significant ownership and autonomy are given to team members, way more than you'd get at a corporate company. This may feel overwhelming, but the growth curve is exceptional. The only real limitation is one’s personal capacity. Supportive Team: The team is close-knit and friendly, with genuine empathy and care for one another. At no point do you feel on your own. People have your back. It's a low-ego environment which is a a breath of fresh air. No 'pointy-elbows', no one-upmanship, no us/them. The culture is highly collaborative and forward-thinking. People will be helping each other solve problems hourly across different workstreams and projects, rather than competing and being siloed. Leadership: The company has a flat hierarchy where everyone has direct access to leadership (CEO). No one is considered 'too senior' to roll up their sleeves and get involved (low ego culture). Work-Life Balance: For a VC-backed startup, the company offers a healthy work-life balance compared to VC-backed peers. As you'd expect, there are crunch times (e.g., during tech/product sprints, ahead of board meetings, during major operational changes) which will demand more of your time, but this is atypical and not every day. Passion for Food & Drink: The team is immensely passionate about food and drink - this passion carries through to wanting the best for DELLI's sellers. Compensation & Benefits: Offers above-average base pay, no bonus scheme (at time of writing), above average equity options, and solid perks including private health insurance, pension scheme, and free lunches on Tuesdays.

Cons

Less 'cons' and more realities of early-stage startup life: - As an early-stage startup, the environment is fast-moving and always evolving. There’s a lot of experimentation and iteration, which really suits people who enjoy autonomy, ambiguity, and building from scratch - With the pace of growth, priorities can shift quickly, and communication can lag as the company scales. Leadership is receptive to feedback.

Pros

I’d never worked in an environment before where everyone was so passionate and committed to the company’s mission. We’re a tight little team, and everyone is super friendly, drives you forward, and your input actually shapes who we are and what we deliver. It’s a real startup environment so things shift quickly and you grow with it. I wanted hybrid working (which DELLI offers) but, for the above reasons, I just end up coming in every day…

Cons

The dynamic nature of the company means you have to be very adaptable and proactive. There’s a lot of context switching, and it’s definitely not a “coast” environment — expectations are high, and you need to enjoy this pace and level of ownership to thrive.
