DCN Diagnostics Response
4yThank you for your feedback. I value your input so that we can continue evolving to make DCN a great place to work.
First, although your list of cons outweighs your list of pros, I definitely agree that there are a lot of smart and talented employees here. We want to retain them for many years and allow them to grow along with our company.
Regarding your concerns:
● I understand that feedback is a critical component of successful leadership. A key goal in 2022 is to strengthen our manager development program and equip our managers with the tools they need for more-consistent styles of communication, including employee feedback.
● All the scientists and researchers at DCN Dx have the skills and knowledge to successfully see our projects through. Our hiring process is rigorous, and I can assure you each scientist we hire is a leader in their field.
● Every DCN employee is held to the same standards of success as outlined in our annual evaluations. However, I understand how there could be a discrepancy between the expectations in your day-to-day work, which speaks to the need for strengthened communication skills. In 2022, we are working with our managers to further develop their communication skills, management practices and emotional intelligence
● Regarding "huge employee turnover": While many of our employees have been here since the beginning (and many more are just beginning their careers with us), there have been team members who moved on for a variety of reasons. Leaving a position with DCN Dx is a personal choice, and we take those reasons seriously during exit interviews. We use this feedback to implement new processes and practices to retain skilled individuals.
● "Not enough recognition for the employees that deserve it": While I'd like to say you're wrong on this one, I simply cannot. Every employee deserves far more recognition than they receive. Our employees make DCN Dx an amazing organization for our clients and our colleagues. Recognition programs, incentives, regular reviews, and professional development can’t fully convey how much I appreciate their hard work and dedication. My door is always open for suggestions.
● I'm glad to hear that you brought your concerns to HR and your manager. However, I'm disheartened that you felt as though you were not heard. I have heard you now. Change takes time and, as we continue to grow, we will work every day to improve the environment and experience for all employees.
Again, I want to thank you for leaving a review here on Glassdoor. I know that it's never easy to leave an organization, and I wish you the best in your career.
